This PPA makes life so much more easier for users with a fresh Linux install and if they require either ,certain software that would come in a dot zip file, or a feature in the latest build that they ABSOLUTELY need. Install Ubuntu Make
# 1. Add PPA sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ubuntu-desktop/ubuntu-make # 2. Update System sudo apt-get update # 3. Install Ubuntu Make sudo apt-get install ubuntu-make
Now, to install an application through Ubuntu Make, you need to first start with sudo umake ….followed by the name of the application. An example of installing the Android Studio will be below.
# This will install the latest SDK along and other create a start menu entry. Make sure to accept the Google license agreement. sudo umake android
